Join us for an informative session designed for past, present, and future participants of the District's RiverSmart Homes Program.

Join DOEE staff, RiverSmart Ambassadors, and your neighbors for a rain garden cleanup and maintenance training event on Saturday, April 25 from 10am to 12pm at the Woody Ward Community Center located at 5100 Southern Ave SE. We will meet at the community center and perform maintenance on a few rain gardens in the surrounding park.

At this training, you will:
Learn about the importance of rain gardens to our communities and watersheds;
Learn how to perform beautifying maintenance on rain gardens in your neighborhood; and
Make a difference by contributing to the upkeep of natural areas in your neighborhood.

DOEE staff will bring supplies including gloves and tools. Please bring sturdy close-toed shoes, a water bottle, a snack or two, and a positive attitude.
